On the frontend, an accessible toggle (role=“switch“, keyboard operable) appears below the article: turning it on replaces the standard text with the Easy Read version. Compatibility: * Automatic on any theme/builder that calls `the_content` (classic themes, Elementor’s„ Post Content“ widget, Oxygen’s „Content“ element). * For builders or layouts that don’t route through `the_content`, use the `[easy_read_toggle]` shortcode or the „DigitalmenteChiara Easy Read Toggle“ Elementor widget. Elementor and Oxygen are trademarks of their respective owners. This plugin is not affiliated with or endorsed by either. ### Settings Settings > DigitalmenteChiara Easy Read Toggle: active post types, auto-insertion on/off, toggle labels. ### Translations Translated via translate.wordpress.org once approved (Italian translation submitted there). ## Installaziun 1. Upload the plugin files to `/wp-content/plugins/easy-read-toggle`, or install directly through the WordPress plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through the ‚Plugins‘ screen in WordPress. 3. You’ll be taken to Settings > DigitalmenteChiara Easy Read Toggle automatically— pick which post types should get the feature. 4. Edit a post of that type: below the normal content editor you’ll find an „Easy Read“ box. Write the Easy-to-Read version there. 5. Publish/update the post. The toggle appears automatically on the frontend; if your builder doesn’t render `the_content`, use the `[easy_read_toggle]` shortcode or the Elementor widget instead. ## FAQ ### Does this work with Elementor and Oxygen? Yes. It’s automatic wherever your theme/builder renders the normal post content ( Elementor’s „Post Content“ widget, Oxygen’s „Content“ element, classic themes). For layouts that don’t route through it, use the `[easy_read_toggle]` shortcode or the Elementor widget. ### What happens if I enable it on a post but don’t write the Easy Read text yet?
